Inventory Finance Bookkeeper

SUMMARY:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Inventory Finance Bookkeeper to join our team on a 4-month fixed-term, half-day contract.
This role requires someone with a strong bookkeeping and finance background who also understands inventory and stock management. The successful candidate will support the accurate processing and reconciliation of supplier transactions while ensuring that inventory records and financial information remain accurate and up to date.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

• Process, capture and reconcile supplier invoices accurately and timeously.
• Match supplier invoices against purchase orders, delivery notes and supporting documentation.
• Investigate and resolve supplier invoice discrepancies.
• Perform supplier account reconciliations and assist with payment preparation.
• Maintain accurate accounts payable and bookkeeping records.
• Assist with inventory management, including maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Reconcile physical stock, inventory systems and financial records.
• Monitor and investigate stock variances, discrepancies and adjustments.
• Assist with stock counts and stock reconciliations.
• Ensure stock movements, purchases and related costs are accurately recorded.
• Assist with inventory costing and cost-of-goods-related reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with general ledger reconciliations and month-end finance processes.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies between supplier, inventory and accounting records.
• Provide general bookkeeping and finance support as required.

Requirements

• Relevant Bookkeeping, Accounting or Finance qualification.
• CIMA qualification or currently studying towards CIMA will be highly advantageous.
• Previous bookkeeping/accounting experience is essential.
• Practical experience with supplier invoices and supplier reconciliations.
• Previous experience working with inventory and stock management is essential.
• Good understanding of stock reconciliations, inventory movements and financial controls.
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with accounting or ERP systems.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and manage deadlines effectively.
