Retail Sales Consultant

POSITION INFO:
This role is ideal for a retail-focused sales person who enjoys dealing with customers, solving problems, and working in a fast-paced environment where no two enquiries are exactly the same.

Duties / Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers in-store, telephonically, and through online enquiries with product advice and sales support
• Understand customer needs and recommend suitable plumbing, bathroom, tools, and equipment solutions
• Process sales orders, quotations, invoices, and payments accurately
• Provide excellent customer service from enquiry through to purchase
• Build strong relationships with regular customers and trade clients
• Maintain product knowledge across plumbing supplies, bathroom products, and related equipment
• Follow up on quotes and assist with converting enquiries into sales
• Handle customer queries, complaints, and product-related questions professionally
• Keep the showroom and sales area organised and well presented
• Work closely with the team to ensure smooth daily operations

Requirements

• Previous internal sales or retail sales experience is essential
• Experience in plumbing, bathroom products, hardware, tools, or a related industry will be highly beneficial
• Strong customer service and selling skills
• Fluency in English and Afrikaans
• Comfortable working retail hours:Monday to Friday: 08h00 – 17h00Every second Saturday morning
• Must live in Centurion or surrounding areas

Education

• Matric / Grade 12
• Additional sales, retail, or product-related training will be advantageous
