An Administrative Officer 1 who meets the following criteria:

Citizenship: Must be a South African Citizen with a valid South African Identity Document.

Minimum Requirements: Grade 12. Computer literacy. Up to 5 years relevant on the job experience.

Descriptors: Specialised knowledge of administrative processes and procedures within an area.

Core Functions / Characteristics:

• Provides guidance and advice to staff.
• Quality controls work produced by the section.
• Supervises and allocate work.
• Trains junior staff.
• Enhances procedures and processes.
• Develops and performance manages staff.
• Deals with more complex and problematic customers/clients and queries.
• Typically, can supervise up to 5 clerks.
• Performs complex or specialised administrative functions.
