The Core Group - AppleCare Warehouse is looking for an experienced and hands-on Spares Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day management of spare parts supporting our Apple repair and service operations.
This is a fast-paced, service-driven warehouse environment where the availability and accurate movement of spare parts directly impacts our ability to repair devices and deliver a great customer experience. The successful candidate will therefore need to understand that this is more than traditional warehousing, speed, accuracy, traceability and customer focus are critical.
A significant part of the role also involves reverse logistics, ensuring faulty and defective parts are accurately controlled, processed and returned to the relevant OEM/supplier within required timelines and standards.
The ideal candidate is organised, detail-oriented and comfortable leading a team while maintaining strong operational discipline and continuously improving processes.
Key Responsibilities
Repair Parts Supply & Warehouse Operations
- Oversee the day-to-day movement, control and availability of spare parts supporting the Apple repair and Service Centre environment.
- Ensure spare parts are picked, packed, issued and delivered accurately and within required turnaround times.
- Understand the urgency of a repair-parts supply environment, where stock availability and speed directly affect repair turnaround times and the customer experience.
- Maintain accurate stock records and ensure all inventory movements are correctly processed and traceable.
- Monitor stock levels, discrepancies, shortages and ageing stock and take appropriate corrective action.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and stock counts, investigate variances and maintain a high level of inventory accuracy.
- Ensure all warehouse activities are completed in accordance with AppleCare, business and quality standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, productivity, accuracy and turnaround times.
Reverse Logistics & Faulty Part Returns
- Manage the end-to-end reverse-logistics process for faulty and defective repair parts returned to the OEM/supplier.
- Ensure faulty parts are correctly identified, recorded, packaged and returned within prescribed timelines.
- Maintain full traceability and supporting documentation for all returned parts.
- Monitor outstanding returns and ensure that OEM return requirements and deadlines are consistently achieved.
- Manage RTVs, credits and associated administration accurately.
- Investigate discrepancies, rejected returns or missing parts and drive these through to resolution.
- Work closely with internal teams, suppliers and OEM partners to ensure an efficient and compliant reverse-logistics process.
Imports & Receiving
- Coordinate and control the receiving of imported spare parts.
- Ensure incoming stock is received, checked and processed accurately and within agreed timelines.
- Verify quantities, documentation and stock condition on receipt.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies relating to imported stock.
- Ensure stock is made available to the Service Centre as quickly as possible after receipt.
Customer & Service Centre Support
- Maintain a strong internal and external customer-service mindset, understanding that warehouse performance directly impacts customers waiting for repairs.
- Respond to stock and parts-related queries quickly, accurately and professionally.
- Work closely with Service Centre teams to prioritise urgent requirements and resolve supply issues.
- Escalate potential delays, shortages or operational risks proactively.
- Complete relevant administration including credit notes, RTVs, GIT transactions and invoicing accurately and timeously.
Export Control
- Coordinate the export and return of faulty parts to suppliers and OEM partners.
- Ensure returns are completed consistently and within agreed schedules.
- Maintain accurate documentation and tracking for exported parts.
- Ensure compliance with applicable customs, courier and supplier requirements.
Dangerous Goods Compliance
- Ensure dangerous goods, including batteries and other regulated components, are handled, packaged, labelled and dispatched in accordance with applicable legislation and company requirements.
- Maintain the required documentation and compliance standards.
- Ensure employees involved in dangerous-goods handling understand and follow the correct processes.
Team Supervision & Performance
- Supervise the daily activities of the Spares/Warehouse team.
- Allocate work and ensure operational priorities and turnaround times are achieved.
- Set clear expectations and monitor individual and team performance.
- Coach, train and develop employees to improve capability and performance.
- Ensure employees comply with warehouse procedures, safety standards and company policies.
- Address performance or conduct concerns promptly and escalation formal employee-relations matters to the Warehouse Manager where required.
- Promote accountability, teamwork and a high-performance culture.
Minimum Requirements
- A relevant qualification in Warehousing, Logistics, Supply Chain or Operations Management is advantageous.
- Minimum 4 years' experience in warehousing, logistics, inventory or spare-parts operations.
- At least 2year of supervisory or team-lead experience.
- Experience working in a spare-parts, repair, technical-service or after-sales environment is strongly preferred.
- Experience managing reverse logistics and faulty-part returns to an OEM or supplier is highly advantageous.
- Strong inventory-control and stock-management experience.
- Experience dealing with imports, exports and/or dangerous goods would be advantageous.
- Strong administrative and systems skills.
- Comfortable working in a high-volume environment with demanding turnaround times.
