Senior Data Analyst
About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and insightful Senior Data Analyst to join their team in Polokwane . You will be responsible for extracting, transforming, and analyzing complex datasets to provide actionable business insights that drive strategic decision-making. This role requires a deep understanding of statistical analysis, data visualization, and business intelligence tools. You will work closely with various departments, including marketing, sales, and operations, to identify key trends, opportunities, and potential risks, translating raw data into clear, concise, and impactful recommendations that contribute to the company's growth and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and prepare large, complex datasets from various sources for analysis.
- Perform in-depth statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and correlations relevant to business objectives.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to communicate findings effectively.
- Interpret data and provide actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders across different departments.
- Design and implement A/B tests and other experiments to measure the impact of business initiatives.
- Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data quality, integrity, and accessibility.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation is essential.
- Strong experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau , Power BI, or similar.
- Expertise in statistical analysis and modeling techniques.
- Familiarity with programming languages like Python or R for data analysis is a strong plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly.
