Our new product development department offers market research, formulating and concept batches for you to design or augment your product range. We have chosen the edgy urban areas of Melrose Arch, Johannesburg and Greenpoint, Cape Town for our offices in order to welcome our customers.
Job Description:
We have a position for a Fragrance Representative in our Johannesburg office for an energetic, self-confident, problem solving, sales-oriented individual who has the ability to build excellent relationships with our existing customers, increase sales to them, and who will gain new customers for our company. You will join a department comprising of product managers, sales representatives and market
Minimum Qualifications:
The incumbent must have a relevant technical scientific qualification and have had training on selling fragrances to be able to advise manufacturing research and development chemists on the most suitable fragrance ingredients to use in their formulations. You must be able prepare the most appropriate scientific marketing materials from our technical data that will translate into sales.
You will spend a limited time in our laboratory working with fragrances and formulating formats for up skin care, hair care and home care to show case to our customers. You will be exposed to our other categories of raw materials which presents a growth area for you.
You must be willing to travel up to 3 days per week and have your own vehicle.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Qualified chemist
- Sales experience
- Fragrance training
- Skilled in excel and numbers oriented
- A flair for marketing and communications
Key Personal Characteristics:
You must love
communicating with people. Your sales responsibility will also include being an assistant to
the product manager, to whom you will report. You must be a team player, detail oriented and good at meeting deadlines.
