An exceptional opportunity is available for an accomplished Restaurant Manager to lead a brand-new luxury restaurant in Cape Town. This impressive 500 sqm venue requires a confident hospitality professional capable of establishing operational standards, developing a strong service culture, and delivering a polished guest experience from opening day.

The successful Manager will take responsibility for the restaurant’s daily operations, team performance, guest satisfaction, and commercial success. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a hands‑on professional who understands the expectations of a high‑end restaurant environment and can successfully guide a new operation through its opening phase and beyond.

Job Description & Requirements

• Lead the opening and ongoing operation of a brand-new, high-end restaurant.
• Establish luxury service standards, operating procedures, and effective departmental controls.
• Recruit, train, motivate, and manage a professional front-of-house team.
• Maintain a visible presence on the restaurant floor and build positive guest relationships.
• Oversee service delivery to ensure an efficient, polished, and consistent guest experience.
• Manage reservations, table allocation, staffing levels, shift planning, and daily briefings.
• Work closely with the culinary team to maintain smooth communication between the kitchen and front of house.
• Monitor revenue, labour costs, stock control, operating expenses, and overall restaurant performance.
• Handle guest feedback and operational challenges professionally and effectively.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, health, safety, and legal compliance.
• Demonstrate senior restaurant management experience within a luxury, premium, or high‑end hospitality environment.
• Possess excellent leadership, communication, organisation, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Show strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage a large 500 sqm venue.
• Be confident leading a new opening, implementing systems, and developing a service‑driven workplace culture.
• Display a professional appearance, calm leadership style, and genuine commitment to hospitality excellence.

Package - Salary: R70 000 – R80 000 per month, depending on experience Start Date: ASAP
