As a Senior ABAP Developer & Technical Solution Architect you ll play a pivotal role in designing optimizing and overseeing mission-critical systems that ensure seamless material flow across international manufacturing operations.

Senior ABAP development with S / 4HANA OData Services and Object-Oriented design

Hybrid and remote working flexibility with 1960 flexible annual hours

Technical solution architect role with code review and team leadership responsibilities

TEAM : Supplier Call Off and Supply Chain Control

The Supplier Call Off and Supply Chain Control product provides standardized IT processes for demand planning order creation and supply control including Track & Trace for batch size parts. Ensuring parts supply in the production sector with constant and timely material flow cross-plant harmonized processes with high usability operational stability and scalable solutions.

Qualifications / Experience

Minimum mandatory qualifications :

  • Relevant IT qualification or equivalent experience

Minimum mandatory experience :

  • 5-8 years of DevOps (Operations configuration / development) experience in SAP user IT applications
  • Advantageous experience :

  • SAP MM (Materials Management) : Understanding of the MM module including procurement inventory management and material valuation
  • SAP PP (Production Planning) : Familiarity with production planning processes including demand management MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and capacity planning
  • Proven track record of successful SAP projects delivered
  • Agile working experience (any framework)
  • Essential Skills Requirements

  • Strong Object Orientation (best practice entity modelling)

  • Additional Requirements :

  • Part of a team of 14 providing operational support on a rotational basis
  • Experience in operational support with specific SLA agreements (timelines) based on ticket priority
  • Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter
  • Supervision : Completely independent worker that will only escalate tasks that are complex and outside of their span of control. May need to lead individual members of a team of Entry and Advanced level experts
  • Problem solving : Improve a product or a system that already exists by making conceptual changes and enhancements. Can manage the solution for complex problems that may require simple solutions but affect multiple systems
  • Communication : Influence (Effect change without direct exercise of command where persuasion is required and reaching buy-in might be difficult). Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent organizational and presentation skills
  • Delivery : Specify new products processes standards based on organization strategy or set short- to mid-term operational plans. The requests are often unclear and will need substantial investigation to ensure that the specifics are well understood by all parties. Employee may be expected to provide guidance to lower-level employees
  • Soft Skills :

  • Ability to work interdependently and to submit deliverables on time and with excellent quality
  • Self-starter with proactive approach to software development
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and written) on technical and non-technical level
  • Problem solving capability

  • Flexibility to take up different tasks in the project
  • Ability and willingness to coach and give training to fellow colleagues when required

  • Role Requirements

  • Technical Solution Architecture : Play a technical solution architect role for all change requests based on strong technical ABAP background
  • Mediation : Act as bridge between developers and functional team members engaging directly with product owner(s) and external partner feature team(s)
  • Technical Oversight : Oversee developments on SAP systems running global business processes spanning material management and material supply in automotive setup
  • Code Review : Review proposed solutions and code changes based on learned knowledge of existing system design and the Groups Global Development Guidelines
  • Solution Alignment : Ensure development solutions align with current technical functions and overall architecture
  • Specification Review : Review and approve technical and functional specifications for completeness understandability and logical consistency
  • Quality Assurance : Review development and check code quality against the Groups standards
  • Requirement Validation : Reconfirm during code review that completed development meets original requirements
  • Development : Conduct development work where above tasks will be performed by peers
  • Agile Methodologies : Attend all team meetings including Stand-ups Sprint Review Sprint Retrospectives Sprint Planning meetings etc.
  • Release Management : Understand release management process and track release schedules
  • System Knowledge : Understand the Groups SAP system landscape and stay abreast of planned changes and their effects
  • Go-Live Support : Provide Go-live preparation and post Go-live support
  • Ticket Management : Receive troubleshoot resolve and close Operational and Maintenance tickets within defined SLAs
  • Change Management : Manage changes and present to relevant CAB (Change Advisory Board)
  • Client Interaction : Interact with clients through meetings calls and emails
  • Development Debugging : Perform development debugging activities
  • Documentation : Update and maintain documentation as existing system functionality changes
  • Daily Agile Tool Chain Usage : Use Agile Tool Chain as per updates required by respective feature team(s)
