Key Responsibilities
- Learn to operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to precise specifications.
- Develop skills in assembling, fitting, and repairing mechanical components and assemblies.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals.
- Perform precision measurements using various measuring instruments.
- Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial machinery.
- Adhere strictly to safety regulations and maintain a clean workshop environment.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) with a strong foundation in Mathematics and Technical Drawing.
- A genuine interest in mechanical work and precision engineering.
- Good spatial reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in an industrial setting.
- Commitment to completing the full apprenticeship duration and coursework.
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work meticulously on tasks in the manufacturing plant .
