First Officer (Johannesburg) — Cadet, Connect & Experienced Pathways | Airlink

About the role

As a First Officer at Airlink, you’ll operate modern regional aircraft alongside an experienced Captain, delivering safe, efficient and professional flights across our network. You’ll apply disciplined SOPs, sound decision‑making and crisp crew coordination while building hours and broad operational experience.

Entry pathways at a glance

• Cadet First Officer: ≥200 total hours, valid ME IR and CPL, Grade 12, South African citizenship.
• Connect First Officer: ≥500 total hours, valid ME IR and CPL, Grade 12, South African citizenship.
• Experienced First Officer: ≥1,000 total hours including 200 ME and 200 Turbine, Grade 12, South African citizenship; SACAA CPL, ATPL or Frozen ATPL with valid IR.

Note: Previous advanced training on FSTD is preferred.

What you’ll do

• Operate the aircraft safely and in full compliance with company SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Support the Captain across all phases of flight: planning, performance, checklists, FMS setup, communications and threat/error management.
• Maintain vigilant flightdeck monitoring, accurate flight documentation and professional CRM at all times.

What you’ll bring

• Grade 12 (or equivalent).
• SACAA CPL, ATPL or Frozen ATPL with a valid IR.
• South African citizenship.
• Hours by pathway: Cadet ≥200; Connect ≥500; Experienced ≥1,000 total (incl. 200 ME and 200 Turbine).
• Preferred: Prior advanced training on FSTD.
