We at MTN believe this is a game-changer in terms of our business strategy. We are looking for an incumbent to join us as we build a successful business together.

We are looking for a candidate with expertise in ESG and sustainability to support the development, implementation, reporting, communication and continuous improvement of MTN Group Fintech's sustainability and ESG agenda across the Fintech portfolio and its operating companies.

As part of your portfolio as Manager: Sustainability and Stakeholder Management, you will be:

• Responsible for translating MTN Group Fintech's ESG and Sustainability strategy into practical roadmaps and governance routines, coordinating sustainability priorities across business functions and operating companies, and supporting ESG governance, materiality assessments and stakeholder mapping.
• Responsible for coordinating ESG data collection, validation and reporting in line with GRI, SASB, ISSB and UN SDG standards, supporting sustainability programme design and impact measurement, and engaging internal and external stakeholders to build ESG capability and drive sustainability communications.

The incumbent must have the following:

• Minimum 4-year degree in Sustainability, Environmental Sciences, Development Studies, Economics, Business, Communications, Public Policy, International Relations or related field
• Postgraduate qualification in Sustainability, ESG, Development Finance, Business, Public Policy or Communications
• Minimum 7-10 years' experience in ESG, sustainability, corporate affairs, stakeholder relations, development finance, responsible business or impact management

What will give an edge to your application:

• Professional certification or membership in ESG, sustainability reporting, stakeholder engagement, project management or corporate affairs bodies
• Experience working with international ESG frameworks and disclosure standards, including GRI, SASB, ISSB and UN SDGs
• Experience in financial services, fintech, telecommunications, technology or development finance
• Fluency in French, advantageous for multi-market engagement
• Strong stakeholder engagement and analytical judgement, with the ability to operate across multiple markets and stakeholder groups
