About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative Precision Agriculture Specialist to join their team on a fully remote basis. This role is at the forefront of agricultural technology, leveraging data and advanced tools to enhance farm efficiency, sustainability, and productivity. You will guide farmers and agricultural operations in the implementation and effective use of precision farming techniques, including GPS guidance, variable rate technology, remote sensing, and data management systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both agricultural principles and the technological solutions that are transforming modern farming.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on the selection, implementation, and management of precision agriculture technologies.


• Analyze data from various sources (e.g., yield monitors, soil sensors, drone imagery) to develop site-specific management recommendations.


• Develop strategies for optimizing input application (fertilizers, water, pesticides) based on data analysis.


• Train farm operators and managers on the use of precision agriculture equipment and software.


• Troubleshoot technical issues related to precision agriculture systems and provide solutions.


• Stay updated on the latest advancements in precision farming technology and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Precision Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, or a related field.


• Proven experience in Precision Agriculture or closely related roles.


• Familiarity with GIS software, GPS systems, VRT, remote sensing, and farm management information systems (FMIS).


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience.


• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote setting.
