Supply Chain Operations Manager

Our client, a prominent player in the FMCG sector, is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Operations Manager to oversee and optimize their operations based in Cape Town . This role is critical in ensuring the efficient flow of goods from procurement to delivery, managing inventory, logistics, and warehouse operations. You will play a key role in driving cost efficiencies, improving service levels, and implementing best practices within the supply chain. This position offers a blend of strategic oversight and hands‑on management, ideal for a leader passionate about operational excellence in a dynamic market.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and distribution.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize logistics costs and improve delivery performance.
• Oversee inventory levels, forecast demand, and ensure product availability to meet sales targets.
• Lead and develop the supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
• Implement and maintain robust supply chain processes and systems to enhance efficiency and visibility.
• Negotiate with suppliers and logistics providers to secure favorable terms and service agreements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in supply chain management, with a strong focus on operations within the FMCG industry.
• Proven experience in inventory management, demand planning, and logistics optimization.
• Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
