Area Sales Manager

Our client, a leading player in the FMCG industry, is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to drive business expansion within the Eastern Cape. This role offers a unique opportunity to impact market share directly through strategic account management and collaborative team leadership.

Where You'll Make an Impact:

• Drive regional growth by managing key accounts and overseeing third-party operations

• Lead and motivate partnered sales and merchandising agents to meet performance standards

• Manage key accounts, agency relationships, and partner engagements to optimise sales outcomes

• Facilitate volume growth within your portfolio while managing cold chain logistics and stock control

• Oversee and direct the internal sales team to achieve strategic objectives

• Provide regular market intelligence on competitor activity, pricing trends, and new market opportunities

Duties:

• Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with regional growth targets

• Manage relationships with external agencies and partners, ensuring service levels are maintained

• Lead by example to foster a high-performance sales environment

• Monitor and report on market trends, competitor movements, and customer feedback

• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure effective stock management and cold chain processes

Requirements:

• 3 to 5 years of sales management experience within the FMCG sector

• Proven ability to manage key accounts and external partnerships

• Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills

• Excellent reporting and time management capabilities

• Ability to work on-site in the Eastern Cape

Nice to Have:

• Experience in cold chain logistics and stock management
