Professional Quantity Surveyor Leading Professional Quantity Surveying Consultancy A highly respected and established Professional Quantity Surveying (PQS) practice in Cape Town is looking to appoint an experienced Professional Quantity Surveyor (PrQS) to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professionally registered Quantity Surveyor who is looking to take responsibility for high-value projects and work within a respected consultancy environment. THE ROLE The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive Quantity Surveying service across a range of building and property projects, working closely with clients, architects, consultants and contractors. Key responsibilities include: Full Quantity Surveying functions from feasibility through to final account Cost planning, estimating and cost management Preparation and evaluation of Bills of Quantities Tender documentation and tender evaluation Valuations and payment certificates Variation and change-order management Contract administration Cost reporting and forecasting Final accounts Client and professional team liaison Providing professional QS advice throughout the project lifecycle REQUIREMENTS BSc\/BTech\/ in Quantity Surveying or equivalent Professionally Registered Quantity Surveyor (PrQS) with SACQSP Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience Previous experience within a PQS \/ professional consultancy environment Strong building-sector Quantity Surveying experience Excellent knowledge of construction contracts and cost management Strong communication and client-management skills Ability to manage projects independently from inception through to completion Proficiency in relevant QS software
