Hotel Electrician

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Recognised Electrician Trade Test / Red Seal essential and non-negotiable
- Minimum 5 years experience as a qualified Electrician
- Hotel, hospitality, hospital, retail or large commercial property maintenance experience highly advantageous
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience with distribution boards, lighting, circuits, sockets, appliances and electrical equipment
- Strong knowledge of SANS standards and electrical safety requirements
- Planned and preventative maintenance experience
- Ability to read electrical diagrams and technical drawings
- Knowledge of lock-out/tag-out and safe electrical working procedures
- Experience using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment
- Able to respond effectively to breakdowns and urgent maintenance requirements
- Able to work shifts, weekends, public holidays and emergency call-outs
- Valid South African ID
- Updated CV clearly showing Red Seal / Trade Test details and contactable references

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Electrical inspections, maintenance, fault-finding and repairs
- Diagnose and resolve electrical breakdowns quickly and safely
- Maintain distribution boards, lighting, circuits and electrical equipment
- Conduct planned and preventative electrical maintenance
- Respond to guest-room and operational electrical faults
- Ensure compliance with SANS and health and safety requirements
- Complete electrical testing and compliance documentation
- Identify potential faults before equipment failure occurs
- Support junior technicians and apprentices
- Complete job cards and maintenance records accurately
