We are partnering with an established engineering business serving the mining and mineral processing sector, seeking an experienced Draughtsman who understands that precision is more than just accuracy. It is about transforming process concepts into manufacturable reality.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a technically demanding environment where no two projects are exactly the same. You will be involved in developing high-quality fabrication drawings and detailed 3D models for specialized process equipment used throughout the mineral processing industry.
If you have extensive experience designing and detailing thickeners, linear screens, and flocculant plants, and take pride in producing work that directly influences manufacturing, installation, and operational success, this could be your next challenge.

What You'll Be Doing
- Producing detailed fabrication and manufacturing drawings
- Developing and maintaining accurate 3D models
- Translating process flow concepts into practical engineering solutions
- Working closely with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams
- Ensuring all designs comply with project specifications and quality requirements
- Managing multiple projects while meeting strict deadlines
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years' draughting experience within the mineral processing or mining industry
- Proven experience with thickeners, linear screens, and flocculant plants
- Strong understanding of:Structural steel detailingWelding symbolsSheet metal developmentSlurry handling piping specifications
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD 3D and Autodesk Inventor
- Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Relevant qualification in Mechanical Design or a related field
- Valid driver's licence and own transport
