Job description
Minimum requirements for the role:
- Must have a relevant tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, Commerce or a related field
- Minimum 510 years' sales experience, preferably within the hospitality, cleaning chemicals, hygiene, laundry, FMCG, facilities management or related industries
- Minimum 35 years' experience in a senior sales management or national/key-account leadership role
- Proven experience working with major customers and procurement functions
- Demonstrated success in business development and key-account management
- Must have proven experience in sales team management, with strong commercial and financial understanding
- Willingness and ability to travel nationally
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive national hospitality sales strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
- Driving aggressive but sustainable new-business development within the hospitality sector.
- Owning and developing relationships with the most strategically important hospitality customers.
- Ensuring that products are being sold as solutions rather than commodities.
- Building the company profile and market presence within the hospitality industry.
- Providing strong commercial leadership to the hospitality sales team.
- Leading from the front and remaining actively involved in major customer negotiations and strategic accounts.
- Maintaining rigorous control over the national hospitality sales pipeline.
- Being accountable not only for revenue growth but also for profitable growth.
- Leading the hospitality sales function in major tender and contract opportunities.
- Championing a customer-centric approach throughout the sales organisation.
- Working with technical and R&D teams to identify new product opportunities.
- Promoting the companys sustainability proposition within the hospitality sector.
