Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager will be the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring the delivery of accurate financial reports, tax compliance and strategic business advice.
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Manage, train and mentor a small team of junior and intermediate accountants
- Financial Oversight: Review monthly management accounts, VAT returns, and annual financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
- Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, offering proactive financial and tax advisory services
- Compliance & Tax: Ensure all client and corporate submissions (SARS/CIPC) are completed accurately and timeously
- Process Improvement: Identify workflow inefficiencies and implement tech-forward solutions to streamline bookkeeping and reporting processes
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent qualification
- Professional designation ( e.g. SAICA / SAIPA / CIMA ) is highly advantageous
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably within an accounting/auditing practice
- Strong proficiency in modern accounting software (e.g. Caseware, Xero, SAGE Accounting, PASTEL) and Excel
- Sound knowledge of local taxation laws and financial reporting standards
