Credit Vet & Risk Agent

SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Credit Vetting Agent to join our team and play a key role in ensuring that customer applications are assessed accurately, efficiently and in line with our Credit Risk and Compliance requirements.

POSITION INFO:
Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement and apply existing Credit Vetting policies and procedures across Consumer and Enterprise environments, ensuring credit risk is effectively and efficiently managed.
• Manage and ensure RICA compliance throughout the customer onboarding process.
• Assess and analyse bank statements and financial information to determine customer affordability and financial capacity.
• Review customer information, identify potential risks and make sound, informed credit decisions.
• Analyse information from various sources and use sound judgement to approve, decline or escalate applications where required.
• Meet and consistently achieve performance and productivity targets while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality.
• Identify and resolve potential issues or discrepancies during the credit vetting process.
• Provide professional and efficient service to internal and external customers.

Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12.

Advantageous:

• 3 years' experience in Credit Risk Assessment or Credit Vetting.
• Knowledge and understanding of Telco products and services.
• Knowledge of the RICA Act and its application within customer onboarding.
• Knowledge of the National Credit Act (NCA).
• Experience assessing affordability and analysing financial documentation.
