Our client, an established automotive service and repair centre, is looking for a skilled and experienced Red Seal Motor Technician with a strong Mercedes-Benz| BMW | Audi background to join their workshop team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out high-quality servicing, diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on passenger vehicles. This is an opportunity for a technically competent technician who takes pride in their workmanship and is looking for a stable, long-term position.

Your role will focus on diagnosing, repairing and maintaining the premium vehicles according to the dealer/distributor’s standard specifications in the most productive way.

Remuneration
R 15 000 – R 20 000 - Market related plus performance-based Incentive – Benefits including Provident Fund

POSITION INFO:
Duties:

• Performing minor and major vehicle services in line with manufacturer and workshop standards.
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and electronic faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
• Carrying out repairs and maintenance on Mercedes-Benz and other passenger vehicles.
• Conducting inspections, fault-finding and preventative maintenance.
• Repairing and replacing components including brakes, suspension, steering, clutches, cambelts and engine-related parts.
• Performing engine, transmission and braking system repairs where required.
• Using diagnostic equipment to identify faults and accurately interpret fault codes.
• Conducting vehicle checks and road tests to confirm that repairs have been completed correctly.
• Completing job cards accurately and identifying any additional work required.
• Ensuring all work is completed efficiently, safely and to a high standard.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Adhering to workshop procedures, health and safety requirements and company policies.

Requirements:

• Matric
• Red Seal Motor Technician (Trade Test Certificate)
• A minimum of 4 years Technician/Motor Industry experience is essential – preferably within a premium brand, Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Land Rover
• Fully qualified Red Seal Motor Mechanic / Motor Technician is essential.
• Proven experience working on Mercedes-Benz passenger vehicles is an advantage.
• Strong mechanical, electrical and electronic diagnostic capabilities.
• Must be confident and competent in the use of diagnostic equipment.
• Sound knowledge of vehicle servicing, maintenance, fault-finding and repairs.
• Must have a fully equipped toolbox and toolbox on wheels.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Must have own reliable transport or reliable transport arrangements to and from work.
• Stable employment history and good, contactable references.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Professional, reliable and safety-conscious approach.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• A stable personal background and commitment to maintaining a professional, drug-free working environment.
