Pharmacist

Our client is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Pharmacist to join their community pharmacy in Vereeniging . In this patient-facing role, you will be responsible for dispensing medications accurately, counseling patients on their treatment, and ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals. You will work closely with healthcare providers to manage patient care and contribute to the overall health and well-being of the community. This position is ideal for a compassionate pharmacist who is passionate about patient care and eager to make a tangible difference in the Gauteng province.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
• Provide comprehensive patient counseling on medication usage, potential side effects, and storage instructions.
• Consult with physicians and other healthcare providers to clarify prescriptions and discuss patient care plans.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage pharmaceutical stock, including ordering and receiving medications.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant pharmacy laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Registered Pharmacist with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).
• Proven experience as a Pharmacist in a community or hospital setting.
• Excellent knowledge of pharmaceutical drugs, their uses, and potential interactions.
• Strong patient counseling and communication skills.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and providing exceptional customer service.
