Energy Efficiency Consultant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive Energy Efficiency Consultant to join their sustainability services team in Stellenbosch . In this role, you will work with commercial and industrial clients to identify opportunities for reducing energy consumption and improving operational efficiency. You will conduct energy audits, develop tailored recommendations, and assist clients in implementing energy‑saving measures. Your expertise will help clients lower their operational costs and reduce their environmental footprint. This hybrid role offers a blend of on‑site client engagement and remote analysis, providing a dynamic work environment within a company dedicated to promoting sustainable energy practices across various industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive energy audits for commercial and industrial facilities.
• Analyze energy usage data and identify key areas for efficiency improvements.
• Develop detailed reports with actionable recommendations for energy‑saving measures and technologies.
• Assist clients in the implementation of energy efficiency projects, including feasibility studies and ROI calculations.
• Stay updated on energy efficiency technologies, regulations, and incentive programs.
• Present findings and recommendations to clients, demonstrating the financial and environmental benefits.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental) or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in energy auditing, energy management, or sustainability consulting.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, industrial processes, and energy‑efficient technologies.
• Proficiency in energy modelling software and data analysis tools.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
• Understanding of South African energy policies and green building standards is advantageous.
