Infant Caregiver

About the Role

Our client is looking for a loving and attentive Infant Caregiver to provide exceptional care for the youngest children in their facility located in Upington . This role focuses on creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment specifically designed for infants, supporting their foundational developmental milestones. You will be responsible for their daily care, engaging them in age-appropriate activities, and ensuring their emotional and physical well-being. This position is ideal for individuals with a deep affection for babies and a commitment to providing a secure and stimulating start to their educational journey, working closely with parents and fellow staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct care for infants, including feeding, diapering, and comforting.
• Engage infants in age-appropriate play and sensory activities to promote development.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic environment for all infants.
• Observe and document infants' daily progress, milestones, and any health concerns.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's day and development.
• Implement nap schedules and ensure a restful environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience caring for infants in a professional or personal capacity.
• Knowledge of infant development stages and needs.
• Patience, empathy, and a gentle demeanor.
• Ability to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification is a strong advantage.
