Experienced Carpenter

About the Role

Our client requires a highly skilled and dedicated Experienced Carpenter to join their team on projects located in and around Stellenbosch. You will be responsible for a wide range of carpentry tasks, from framing and installing structures to finishing work and renovations. This role demands precision, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and quality craftsmanship. The successful candidate will be adept at interpreting blueprints, working independently, and contributing positively to a collaborative site environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine layouts and dimensions.
• Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials using hand and power tools.
• Install windows, doors, stairs, flooring, and cabinetry.
• Ensure all work meets building codes and safety standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on carpentry equipment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Carpenter with a comprehensive understanding of carpentry techniques.
• Ability to read and understand technical blueprints and drawings.
• Proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools, including saws, drills, and sanders.
• Good knowledge of building materials and construction methods.
• Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
