Key Responsibilities
- Operate large commercial trucks for long-haul transportation of goods between various cities and provinces.
- Plan routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all driving regulations.
- Conduct thorough inspections of the truck and trailer before and after each trip.
- Manage cargo securely, ensuring it remains in good condition throughout the journey.
- Maintain accurate driving logs and complete all necessary paperwork related to transport.
- Communicate effective with dispatch and other team members regarding delivery status and any potential issues.
Requirements
- A valid Code 14 driver's license with an excellent driving record.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a long-distance truck driver .
- Proficiency in navigating complex road networks and using GPS systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage fatigue and maintain alertness during extended driving periods.
- Good physical condition to handle occasional loading/unloading tasks.
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP) .
