About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Chemical Process Analyst to join their team, offering a fully remote position. You will be responsible for the in-depth analysis of chemical process data, identifying trends, anomalies, and opportunities for optimization and efficiency gains. This role requires a strong analytical aptitude and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for process engineers and management. Working in a remote-first environment, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance and product quality across various projects relevant to the Stellenbosch chemical industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from chemical processes to identify key performance indicators and trends.
- Develop reports and visualizations that clearly communicate process performance and insights to stakeholders.
- Identify process deviations and potential issues, recommending corrective actions based on data analysis.
- Support process engineers in troubleshooting and optimizing plant operations through data-driven insights.
- Maintain databases and ensure the integrity and accuracy of all process-related data.
- Collaborate with team members using digital tools for effective remote communication and project coordination.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering , Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- 2-4 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within a chemical or industrial setting.
- Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Excel, Python with Pandas, R) and statistical methods.
- Strong understanding of chemical processes and manufacturing principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
