Aquatic Centre Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is searching for a dedicated and organized Aquatic Centre Coordinator to manage a busy public swimming facility in Richards Bay . This role is crucial for ensuring the safety, enjoyment, and efficient operation of the aquatic center, including pool maintenance, lifeguard management, and program coordination. You will play a key role in community engagement, offering swimming lessons, fitness classes, and overseeing event bookings for this popular local amenity.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily operations of the aquatic center, including pool schedules, cleaning, and safety checks.
• Manage and schedule a team of qualified lifeguards and swimming instructors.
• Develop, implement, and promote swimming programs, lessons, and aqua fitness classes.
• Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and water quality regulations.
• Handle facility bookings for private events and group activities.
• Manage inventory of pool supplies and equipment, and oversee minor repairs.

Requirements

• Previous experience in pool management or aquatic facility operations.
• Current lifeguard certification and CPR/First Aid qualifications are mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of pool maintenance, water chemistry, and safety protocols.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Experience in program development and staff supervision.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
