Our client is a well-established and highly regarded UK law firm with a strong reputation in residential property law. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Residential Property Solicitor to join their team in Rosebank, Johannesburg.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced property professional with knowledge of the England & Wales jurisdiction to combine fee-earning responsibilities with team leadership. You will play a key role in supporting and developing a team of South African-based paralegals while working closely with senior stakeholders in the UK business.

The Role

The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operation of the paralegal team, acting as the primary point of contact for queries, guidance, and support, while also managing their own residential conveyancing caseload.

This position requires a strong understanding of the UK residential property sector, excellent people management skills, and a proactive approach to delivering exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the South African paralegal team on a day-to-day basis
• Act as the first point of contact for the paralegal team
• Provide leadership, coaching, and ongoing support to team members
• Monitor performance, workloads, and service levels
• Handle a residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion
• Ensure clients are kept fully informed throughout the conveyancing process
• Support the continued development and growth of the Residential Property team
• Maintain high standards of client care and compliance
• Liaise effectively with colleagues across the UK and South African teams
• Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiencies

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, Legal Executive, or equivalent legal professional
• Minimum of 5 years' experience within Residential Property / Conveyancing
• Strong knowledge of the England & Wales legal jurisdiction
• Proven experience within the UK conveyancing process
• Previous experience managing, mentoring, or supervising team members
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
• Commercial awareness and a client-focused approach
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and growing environment
