Senior Cybersecurity Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant and experienced Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join their dedicated security team. Operating remotely, you will be at the forefront of protecting our client's digital assets from evolving threats. Your responsibilities will include monitoring security systems, investigating incidents, developing and implementing security policies, and advising on best practices to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information. This role is ideal for a proactive security professional looking to make a substantial impact in safeguarding an organization's information systems, working within a culture that prioritizes security and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools, identifying and responding to potential security breaches.
• Conduct in-depth investigations of security incidents, including root cause analysis and remediation planning.
• Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and controls across the organization.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security risks.
• Provide expert guidance and recommendations on cybersecurity best practices and technologies.
• Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to proactively enhance defenses.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity operations and analysis.
• In-depth knowledge of security principles, protocols, and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
• Experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools, and firewall management.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to respond effectively to high-pressure situations.
