Head of Information Systems

Head of Information Systems job vacancy in Bellville.

Seeking a Head of Information Systems with a Degree in Information Systems (or related Degree) and minimum 5 years’ experience managing a complex environment with a focus on automations and systems integrations.

You will be required to lead and oversee the Business Analysis, System Analysis, Data Delivery, Helpdesk, Testing and Desktop Support functions, for an Insurance Service Provider based in Tygervalley, Bellville, Cape Town.

Minimum requirements:

• Degree in Information systems or related field essential
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role with experience managing a complex environment with a strong focus in automation and system integrations, essential
• Combination of insurance domain knowledge, business analysis expertise, technical architecture capability and vendor management experience required
• Experience engaging on EXCO and MANCO level, required
• Strong vendor and service provider management experience, required
• Experience managing technology vendors, outsourcing arrangements and service delivery agreements, advantageous
• Experience leading enterprise technology delivery and system integration initiatives, advantageous
• Experience implementing and managing cyber security, disaster recovery and business continuity capabilities, advantageous
• Experience establishing data governance, information management and reporting frameworks, advantageous
• Experience managing IT budgets, technology investments and cost optimisation initiatives, advantageous
• Experience operating in a regulated financial services environment, preferred
• Experience leading and developing multidisciplinary technology teams, advantageous
• Strong technical skills and understanding of infrastructure and integrations required
