Senior Civil Engineer - Infrastructure Development

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Civil Engineer to spearhead infrastructure development projects in Pietermaritzburg. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of civil engineering projects, including roads, water systems, and public utilities.
• Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and prepare detailed project proposals and cost estimates.
• Manage project execution from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and safety regulations.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Liaise with clients, government agencies, and contractors to ensure seamless project coordination and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Review and approve engineering designs, calculations, and technical reports.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with a strong focus on infrastructure projects.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is essential.
• Proficiency in civil engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar platforms.
• Proven experience in project management, contract administration, and site supervision.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
