Remote Group Financial Controller

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and accomplished Group Financial Controller for a fully remote position. This senior role is responsible for overseeing the financial operations and reporting for the entire group of companies. You will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all financial information, manage compliance with accounting standards, and play a key role in strategic financial planning. This is a leadership position demanding a strong understanding of complex financial structures and the ability to manage effectively in a distributed, virtual environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of financial reporting, accounting operations, and internal controls for the group.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
• Manage the preparation of consolidated financial statements and group reporting packages.
• Lead the group's budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and other external stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems across all subsidiaries.

Requirements

• Professional qualification (e.g., CA(SA), CPA, ACCA) is essential.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with significant experience in group financial control.
• Proven track record in managing complex financial operations and consolidation.
• Expert knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting best practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills, with demonstrated success in a remote leadership role.
