SAP Business Analysts / Consultants

Job Description

Red Ember Recruitment is looking for experienced SAP Business Analysts / Consultants to join a long-term client project within a highly structured enterprise environment.

This opportunity would suit experienced SAP professionals who are comfortable working in a structured corporate environment and who can combine strong functional knowledge with hands-on troubleshooting and technical problem-solving.

We are recruiting for the following specialisations:

• SAP MM Consultant
  
• SAP WM/eWM Consultant
  
• SAP SD Consultant
  
• SAP PP Consultant
  

This is a 12-month contract opportunity, with a strong possibility of annual renewal.

Key Responsibilities

The successful consultants will provide 2nd Level SAP application support and maintenance, including:

• Troubleshooting SAP incidents and providing solutions or workarounds
  
• Bug fixing, troubleshooting and debugging existing SAP functionality
  
• Supporting SAP S/4HANA and ECC6 environments
  
• Tracking incidents until resolution or until an acceptable workaround is implemented
  
• Recording and documenting problem-solving activities in the relevant ticketing system
  
• Performing root cause analysis
  
• Providing functional and business process support
  
• Escalating complex incidents to 3rd and 4th Level support where required
  
• Supporting non-routine SAP tasks and requests
  
• Maintaining SAP customising tables, user exits and programs
  
• Supporting data corrections in accordance with required approvals and IT authorisations
  
• Supporting SAP IDocs and interfaces
  
• Providing user training and support
  
• Supporting key users and 1st Level support teams
  
• Participating in training sessions with 3rd Level support for new releases and processes
  
• Assisting with analysis of new scope and business requirements
  

Requirements

Candidates must have:

• Minimum 6 years’ experience in SAP configuration
  
• Strong functional SAP consulting experience within their specialist module
  
• ABAP debugging experience
  
• Relevant SAP certification
  
• Experience working in SAP enterprise environments
  
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
  
• Experience supporting both business users and technical teams
  
• Ability to work across SAP modules where required
  

Additional Requirements

Although each consultant will specialise in a specific SAP module, the team will be expected to collaborate across modules and support the broader SAP environment where required.

Consultants may also be required to provide standby or after-hours support during pre-agreed weeks.
