Aluminium Estimator - Brackefell

SUMMARY:
Our client based in Brackenfell is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Aluminium Estimator to join their team.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of aluminium windows, doors and related aluminium products, with the ability to accurately interpret drawings, prepare quotations and ensure projects are costed correctly.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements: At least 3 years' experience in a similar Aluminium Estimator \/ Aluminium Costing role. Proven experience within the aluminium, glass, fenestration, manufacturing or construction industry. Good knowledge of aluminium windows, doors and related products. Experience with aluminium systems, hardware and glass specifications. Ability to read and interpret architectural and technical drawings. Experience with material take-offs and detailed project costing. Strong understanding of manufacturing and installation requirements. Excellent mathematical and numerical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet quotation deadlines. ADVANTAGEOUS Experience with aluminium estimating or costing software. Experience with systems such as Starfront,Bizman or similar estimating\/ERP software. Experience with commercial and residential aluminium projects. Knowledge of different aluminium systems and local industry suppliers. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare accurate and competitive quotations for aluminium windows, doors and related aluminium products. Review architectural drawings, schedules, specifications and project requirements. Calculate aluminium, glass, hardware, accessories, manufacturing, installation and other associated costs. Obtain and compare supplier pricing where required. Liaise with suppliers, clients, contractors and internal departments regarding pricing and technical requirements. Identify potential costing risks, exclusions and discrepancies before quotations are submitted. Ensure all quotations are prepared accurately and within required deadlines. Review drawings and quotations for errors, omissions and inconsistencies. Assist with variations, revisions and re-quotations when project requirements change. Maintain accurate costing records and quotation documentation. Follow up on outstanding pricing and information required to complete quotations. Keep up to date with aluminium systems, hardware, glass specifications and industry pricing. Assist with improving estimating and costing processes where required.
