DBN000363 - Junior Electronic Design & Detailing Engineer – La Mercy KZN

Purpose of the Job:
To engineer and manufacture prototyping display electronics in strict compliance with project briefs and industry safety standards.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechatronics/ Electronics (L/C) or Engineering or
• 3D CAD and / or Creo experience
• Minimum of 2 year’s experience

POSITION INFO:
Technical Competencies & Duties:

• Harness Design & Engineering: Design and develop electrical and electronic harnesses utilizing Creo Parametric in strict compliance with engineering specifications, technical drawings, and manufacturing standards.
• Design for Manufacturing (DFM) & Serviceability: Integrate critical design-to-production factors, including routing optimization, strain relief, robust grounding/earthing, component sourcing, unit assembly sequencing, accessibility, and ease of field serviceability.
• Project Delivery & Timeline Management: Manage engineering phases of product development to guarantee on-time delivery, proactively mitigating risks of production delays while dynamically adapting to tight, project-specific schedules.
• Operational Flexibility: Execute ad-hoc technical projects and fulfill reasonable operational directives from management to support shifting production demands.
