Job Summary

An exciting opportunity exists for experienced, target-driven Telesales Agents in Gauteng to join a dynamic contact centre environment specialising in Funeral Plans and Life Cover products. The successful candidates will engage prospective clients telephonically, identify their insurance needs, and provide suitable solutions while maintaining exceptional service standards. This role suits a motivated sales professional who thrives under pressure and has a proven track record in funeral or life insurance sales.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct outbound sales calls to prospective clients to promote and sell Funeral Plans and Life Cover products.

- Identify and assess individual customer needs telephonically and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.

- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through effective communication and professional rapport-building.

- Handle customer objections confidently and professionally to maximize conversion rates and sales outcomes.

- Achieve and consistently exceed individual and team sales targets within a high-performance contact center environment.

- Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date product knowledge across all Funeral Plan and Life Cover offerings.

- Ensure full compliance with relevant insurance regulations, internal policies, and quality assurance standards.

- Accurately capture and maintain customer information, sales records, and interaction data on the relevant systems.

- Participate in role-plays, coaching sessions, and sales demonstrations to continuously improve performance.

- Represent the company professionally in every customer interaction to uphold brand reputation and service excellence.

Requirements

- NQF Level 6 qualification (Diploma or equivalent) is essential.

- Minimum 12 months of telesales experience within a contact centre or sales environment.

- Demonstrated experience selling Funeral Policies or Life Cover products is non-negotiable.

- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong command of sales techniques, including needs analysis, closing strategies, and objection handling.

- Excellent verbal communication skills with a clear, professional, and persuasive telephone manner.

- Ability to perform sales role-plays and telephonic product demonstrations as required.

- Comfortable working in a high-pressure, target-driven contact centre environment.

- Computer literate with the ability to accurately capture data and navigate CRM or sales systems.

- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to overall team performance.
