The Role: Internal Sales Assistant

This role acts as the operational backbone for the sales department, bridging the gap between field representatives and clients by ensuring seamless order processing, timely client communication, and accurate account administration. The primary focus is to contribute directly to customer retention and revenue growth while assisting with order processing, preparing quotations, executing accurate invoicing, and managing customer follow-ups.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound customer inquiries, resolving product questions and handling account queries efficiently.

• Assist external sales representatives with order processing, preparing quotations, executing accurate invoicing, and managing customer follow-ups.

• Liaise with warehouse and administrative teams to track shipment statuses, stock availability, and dispatch schedules.

• Maintain accurate client records, quotation logs, and transactional data across corporate business systems.

About You

• Prior experience in internal sales, sales support, or commercial administration.

• Grade 12 (matric) education.

• Professional fluency in English (spoken and written).

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

• Detail-oriented mindset, strong communication skills, excellent time management, and a customer-centric approach to problem-solving.

• Experience within the fastener, engineering, industrial, or related technical supply sectors is highly advantageous.

• Working proficiency in Afrikaans is strongly preferred.

• Practical experience with Syspro ERP (or a similar enterprise system) is preferred.
