AIR SYSTEMS SALES ENGINEER

SUMMARY:
The Air Systems Sales Engineer is responsible for driving new business development, managing and expanding existing customer relationships, and delivering sustainable sales growth across the manufacturing sector, within the mining, food, manufacturing, and heavy engineering industries.

POSITION INFO:
Key Performance Areas 1. Sales & Business Development Promote and sell Air Systems, products, and technical solutions to new and existing customers. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing customers. Prepare and deliver professional technical and commercial proposals tailored to customer requirements. Monitor market developments, emerging technologies, and new product releases to identify opportunities for growth. 2. & Market Development Utilise digital channels and platforms to support business development, generate leads, and increase market visibility. Identify opportunities to leverage digital marketing initiatives to strengthen customer engagement and support sales objectives. Collaborate with relevant internal teams on digital content and campaigns that promote Industrial Air Systems and solutions. 3. Customer Engagement & Technical Support Conduct regular customer and site visits to gain an in-depth understanding of applications, operational requirements, and technical challenges. Engage with customers at various levels to identify needs, develop solutions, and strengthen commercial relationships. Follow up on customer enquiries, quotations, projects, and opportunities to ensure effective progression and conversion. 4. Sales Planning, Performance & Reporting Achieve agreed sales targets, gross margins, and strategic business objectives. Maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline using CRM systems. Develop and execute territory and account plans to support sustainable revenue growth. 5. Collaboration, Product Knowledge & Compliance Work closely with internal sales, technical, operations, and management teams to ensure effective customer solutions and service delivery. Maintain strong communication and collaboration throughout the sales and project lifecycle. Remain up to date with product developments, industry trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities. Requirements: Diploma or degree in Engineering, or a related field (mechanical or electrical background). Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in engineering sales Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and explain complex equipment solutions. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory . Valid driver's license.
