inimum Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Quality Control / Quality Management role within a construction, engineering or mining environment.
- Practical experience with civil works.
- Experience in steel structure works.
- Experience with mechanical installations, including pumps, piping and related equipment.
- Strong understanding of construction and installation quality requirements.
- Ability to inspect work, identify quality deviations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Good understanding of project specifications, drawings, procedures and quality documentation.
- Strong reporting and record-keeping skills.
- Previous mine-site experience will be advantageous.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid medical certificate of fitness as required by the Mine.
- Must be able to successfully complete all mine-required screening, verification and site-access requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor quality control activities throughout the project.
- Conduct inspections of civil, structural and mechanical works.
- Ensure construction and installation activities comply with approved specifications, drawings and quality standards.
- Identify, document and follow up on non-conformances and corrective actions.
- Review quality documentation and inspection records.
- Liaise with project teams, contractors and relevant site personnel regarding quality requirements.
- Ensure all required quality records and reports are maintained and submitted.
- Support the project team in maintaining compliance with client and mine quality requirements.
Important: This is a temporary, project-based position and will be based on a mine in the Rustenburg area. Applicants must be willing and able to comply with all mine-site access, medical and screening requirements
