Logistics Coordinator (Mandarin)

LOGISTICS CO-ORDINATOR (Mandarin speaking)

R40-50 000, no benefits (negotiable)

Coordinate and manage the end-to-end logistics process for traded commodities/products, from supplier collection through transportation, border clearance, warehousing (where applicable) and final delivery to customer.

The role ensure that shipments are executed efficiently, cost effectively and in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

Minimum requirements:

• Matric
• Fluent in Mandarin
• 3 + Years experience as a Logistics Coordinator or a similar role
• Knowledge of logistics industry in Africa (DRC, Zambia & ports such as Durban, Dar Es Salaam and Walvis Bay)
• Own car and license will be advantageous

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating transportation with suppliers, transporters, freight forwarders and customers
• Planning and monitoring local, cross-border and international shipments
• Obtaining and comparing freight rates and negotiating transport costs
• Preparing and coordinating shipping and commercial documentation
• Tracking cargo and providing customers and internal teams with shipment updates
• Coordinating customs clearance, permits and border requirements
• Ensuring quantities, delivery points and contractual requirements are correctly managed
• Liaising closely with the trading, sales, procurement, finance and operations teams
• Monitoring delivery schedules and resolving delays, discrepancies or logistical problems
• Checking freight invoices and assisting with accurate calculation of the landed cost of goods
• Maintaining shipment records and logistics reporting
• Identifying opportunities to improve routes, transportation costs and overall supply-chain efficiency
