Automotive Dealership Pre-Owned Sales Manager Gauteng, Kempton Park

Remuneration: R25 000 – R30 000 + Incentive + Company vehicle + Fuel allowance + Medical aid + Pension/Provident fund

Purpose Of The Job:

Our customer focused client, requires a Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales Manager who will be responsible for leading, developing, and managing the used vehicle sales operation to achieve sales targets, maximize profitability, and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will oversee vehicle stock management, sales performance, customer engagement, and team development while maintaining compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies to achieve monthly and annual used vehicle sales targets
• Lead, coach, motivate, and manage the sales team to maximize performance and productivity
• Monitor sales activities and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure targets are achieved
• Manage pre-owned vehicle stock levels, pricing, purchasing, and vehicle appraisal processes
• Ensure stock turnover objectives are met while maintaining healthy profit margins
• Oversee vehicle sourcing and acquisition opportunities
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to enhance customer satisfaction and retention
• Handle escalated customer queries and complaints professionally and effectively
• Collaborate with Finance & Insurance (F&I) and other departments to optimize sales opportunities
• Ensure compliance with FICA, CPA, POPIA, and all relevant company policies and procedures
• Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and performance analyses for management
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing to remain competitive within the market

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Sales, Business Management, Marketing, or a related field will be advantageous
• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a managerial role within a pre-owned vehicle dealership environment
• Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets
• Strong knowledge of vehicle valuation, trade-ins, stock management, and dealership operations
• Proficient in dealership management systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Valid South African driver's licence
