Financial Controller Position in Gauteng

Location: JHB - Western Suburbs

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Financial Controller to manage and oversee the day-to-day financial administration of the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, completing reconciliations, assisting with reporting, and ensuring that financial processes are followed correctly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day financial and accounting functions.
• Process and capture invoices, payments, receipts and other financial transactions.
• Perform regular bank and account reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Monitor outstanding customer accounts and follow up on payments.
• Prepare and maintain monthly financial reports.
• Assist with month-end and year-end financial processes.
• Monitor income, expenses and cash flow.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Ensure invoices and supporting documentation are properly filed.
• Assist with VAT, SARS and other statutory financial requirements.
• Identify discrepancies and assist with resolving financial queries.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information.
• Ensure financial controls and company procedures are consistently followed.
• Provide general financial support to management when required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance or Financial Management will be advantageous.
• 2-3 years' experience in a similar finance/accounting role.
• Experience with accounting software.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with reconciliations, invoicing, creditors and debtors.
• Basic understanding of VAT and SARS requirements.
• Good numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Salary: R13,500.00 per month
