SUMMARY:
Regional Tier 3 Junior Technical Support Specialist - Pretoria East, Gauteng
POSITION INFO:
We are looking for a technically strong Regional Tier 3 Junior Technical Support Specialist to provide advanced technical support, manage escalations and assist with site acceptance within an energy and engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced Tier 3 technical support
- Resolve escalated technical issues
- Manage escalations from Tier 1/2 through Tier 3/4
- Support customer and subcontractor technical teams
- Train NOC and regional staff
- Perform advanced technical diagnostics
- Troubleshoot power equipment
- Conduct client-site visits
- Support site commissioning and acceptance
- Ensure successful site acceptance within required timelines
- Prepare acceptance documentation
- Document troubleshooting practices and solutions
- Mentor Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical teams
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field
- Proven technical-support experience
- Exposure to energy-management systems
- Knowledge of renewable, traditional energy and storage solutions
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities
- Comfortable troubleshooting power equipment
- Willing and able to travel to client sites
- Energy-sector experience advantageous
- Experience working according to SLA / MTTR requirements advantageous
- Site commissioning or acceptance experience advantageous
Employment Type: Permanent | Office-based
Salary: Approximately R50,000 per month, negotiable
Hours: 08:00 – 17:00
