Senior Aviation Safety Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior Aviation Safety Analyst to join their completely remote safety department. You will be instrumental in proactively identifying safety hazards, assessing risks, and developing mitigation strategies to enhance the overall safety performance of the organization. This role requires a deep dive into safety data, trend analysis, and the implementation of data-driven safety improvements. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze aviation safety data (incident reports, audit findings, operational metrics) to identify trends and systemic risks.
• Develop and maintain safety performance indicators (SPIs) and safety performance targets (SPTs).
• Conduct detailed risk assessments and develop effective mitigation strategies for identified hazards.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Safety Management System (SMS).
• Prepare comprehensive safety analysis reports and present findings and recommendations to management.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of the safety training and awareness programs.
• Stay current with aviation safety regulations, industry best practices, and emerging safety concerns.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Safety Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in aviation safety analysis, risk management, or related fields.
• Proven ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex safety data.
• Strong understanding of Safety Management Systems (SMS) principles and practices.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, statistical software).
• Excellent report writing, presentation, and communication skills for remote collaboration.
