Well Operations Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a hands-on Well Operations Supervisor to oversee daily operations in Bloemfontein. This role is critical for ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective execution of well intervention, workover, and completion activities. You will supervise rig crews, manage equipment, and ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures. The ideal candidate will have extensive field experience in well operations, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of managing complex well site activities within the oil and gas industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct all aspects of well intervention, workover, and completion operations.


• Ensure that all operations are conducted in accordance with safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards.


• Manage rig personnel, assign tasks, and foster a safe and productive work environment.


• Oversee the operation and maintenance of well service equipment.


• Monitor operational performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.


• Maintain detailed records of operational activities, equipment status, and personnel performance.

Requirements

• Significant experience (7+ years) in well operations, including supervisory roles.


• Strong understanding of well intervention techniques, completion hardware, and downhole tools.


• Proven leadership and team management skills.


• Knowledge of relevant safety procedures and regulatory compliance in the oil and gas sector.


• Ability to work effectively in a demanding field environment and make sound decisions under pressure.
