About the Role

Our client, a prominent player in the wine industry , is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Planner to manage the complex supply chain and distribution of their premium products. Based in the picturesque region of Stellenbosch , this role is crucial for ensuring that wines are transported efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively to domestic and international markets. You will be responsible for optimizing logistics operations, managing inventory movement, and coordinating with various stakeholders, including wineries, distributors, and shipping partners. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic logistics plans for the movement of wine products from production to various markets.
• Optimize transportation routes and methods to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery, considering temperature control requirements.
• Manage inventory levels and coordinate stock transfers between wineries, storage facilities, and distribution points.
• Liaise with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and customs brokers for international shipments.
• Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations for the transport of alcoholic beverages.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Logistics Planner or Supply Chain Analyst, preferably within the FMCG or wine industry.
• Strong understanding of international shipping, customs procedures, and supply chain best practices.
• Proficiency in logistics planning software and ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and external partners in Stellenbosch .
