Manager: Maintenance – Electrical & Instrumentation

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Electrical, Instrumentation & Electronics Maintenance operations across critical infrastructure and production assets.
• Manage electrical substations, distribution networks, instrumentation, electronics, boilers, compressors, chillers, lifting equipment, mobile equipment, lifts and related utilities.
• Develop and implement Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM) and Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) programmes.
• Plan and oversee preventive, predictive, corrective and breakdown maintenance, including maintenance backlogs and shutdowns.
• Improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime and increase MTBF through root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Ensure maintenance, calibration, testing and statutory compliance of electrical, instrumentation, electro-mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Manage contractors, service providers, suppliers, maintenance materials, spares and expenditure.
• Manage CMMS systems and maintain accurate asset and maintenance records.
• Lead the acquisition, installation, commissioning, modification and decommissioning of plant and equipment.
• Manage maintenance budgets, forecasts and CAPEX requirements.
• Develop and monitor departmental KPIs and performance.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and statutory requirements.
• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing multidisciplinary maintenance team.
• Prepare technical reports and management presentations.
• Drive maintenance strategy, continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
• Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

• BSc or B-Tech Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Formal Management Diploma.
• GCC qualification will be an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years experience in Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance Management.
• Experience managing P&L / maintenance budgets.
• Understanding of manufacturing and procurement/supply chain.
• Understanding of ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and ISO 45001.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
