About the Role

Our client, a leading healthcare provider in Soweto , is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Advanced Podiatrist to join their expanding foot health clinic. This role focuses on diagnosing and treating a wide range of complex foot and ankle conditions, from common ailments to more specialized issues requiring advanced intervention. You will work closely with other medical professionals to provide comprehensive patient care, utilizing state-of-the-art diagnostic tools and treatment methodologies. Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and manage a broad spectrum of foot and ankle disorders, including biomechanical issues, dermatological conditions, and traumatic injuries.
• Perform advanced procedures such as nail surgeries, ingrown toenail corrections, wart treatments, and minor surgical interventions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including orthotic prescription, therapeutic exercises, and wound care management.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, taking detailed medical histories and performing physical examinations of the lower extremities.
• Educate patients on preventative foot care, proper footwear, and management strategies for chronic conditions like diabetes and arthritis.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Requirements

• Degree in Podiatric Medicine from an accredited institution.
• Valid registration and license to practice as a Podiatrist .
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, with demonstrable expertise in treating complex foot conditions.
• Proficiency in diagnostic techniques and therapeutic interventions for a wide range of podiatric issues.
• Excellent surgical skills and knowledge of current podiatric surgical practices.
• Strong patient communication skills and the ability to explain complex medical information clearly.
