# Electrical ForemanHome / Electrical Foreman**Location:**Kathu,Northern Cape,South AfricaAfrimat Iron Ore, based in Kathu (Northern Cape) has a vacancy for a:## Electrical Foreman##### Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Key Competencies* Grade 12 (Matric) qualification* Valid Electrical Trade Test* Valid MV/HT Competency certificate (added advantage)* Must have a valid driver’s license* A minimum of five years’ management experience within a mining environment.* Must have previous authorizations to perform High/Medium Voltage switching* Advanced fault-finding, ability to read complex blueprints/schematics, and knowledge of PLC systems* Proficiency in MS Office Suite.* Ability to work independently within set targets.* People management and communication skills.* Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing conditions, and manage a team effectively.##### Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):* Team Supervision: Lead and coordinate electrical artisans and contractors, ensuring work is completed to standard and on deadline.* Maintenance Management: Plan and execute preventative maintenance, troubleshoot equipment failures, and manage emergency breakdown repairs.* Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety standards (such as the Mine Health and Safety Act), conduct risk assessments, and lead safety meetings or \"toolbox talks\".* Resource Oversight: Manage budgets, coordinate the procurement of spare parts, and ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained.* Technical Oversight: Supervise medium and high voltage (MV/HV) reticulation, substation maintenance, and specialized mining equipment like crushers.* Administrative Duties: Maintain meticulous records of tasks, update maintenance systems, and report progress to senior engineer.##### Please send the following documents to apply:Please upload the following documents in one file with the application form to the right.
